Smoke & CO Detectors
Hard‑wired smoke and CO alarms installed to BC code.
Life Safety First
Alarms are one of the simplest ways to improve safety in a home—when they’re installed correctly and working reliably. We install and replace smoke and carbon‑monoxide alarms, including hard‑wired, interconnected systems so an alarm in one area alerts the whole home.
Installation, Replacement & Upgrades
We work across Coquitlam and the Lower Mainland on new installs for renovations, replacements for expired alarms, and upgrades to interconnected hard‑wired systems where wiring allows. We’ll also verify placement and make sure devices are suited to the space (bedrooms, hallways, near mechanical rooms, etc.).
Our Services

Where should smoke detectors be installed?
Smoke alarms are typically required in bedrooms, outside sleeping areas, and on every level. CO alarms are usually placed near bedrooms and anywhere CO risk exists (for example, fuel‑burning appliances or attached garages). We follow BC code requirements for placement and type.
Hardwired vs battery smoke detectors?
Hard‑wired alarms are powered by the home and can be interconnected so all alarms sound together. They also include battery backup. Battery‑only alarms can still be appropriate in some retrofit situations, but hard‑wired systems are generally the most robust option.
Do you replace old smoke detectors?
Yes. If your alarms are chirping, failing tests, or past their recommended service life, we can replace them and, when possible, upgrade the system so alarms communicate with each other.
