Back-Up Generator Installation
Standby generators and transfer switches for power during outages
Power When the Grid Goes Down
Standby generators keep essential circuits running during outages. We wire transfer switches, connect generators to your panel, and ensure everything meets Technical Safety BC requirements. Safe, permitted, and ready when you need it.
What We Do
Fusion Point Electric installs back-up generator systems across Coquitlam, Vancouver, Surrey, and the Lower Mainland. We wire transfer switches, connect standby or portable generators, and manage load so you power the circuits that matter most—furnace, fridge, lights, medical equipment.

What is a transfer switch?
A transfer switch safely switches your home from utility power to generator power during an outage. It prevents backfeeding into the grid, which is dangerous and illegal.
Do I need a permit for a generator?
Generator connections to your electrical system require a Technical Safety BC permit and inspection. We obtain permits and coordinate inspections.
Portable vs standby generator?
Standby generators are permanently installed and start automatically during outages. Portable generators require manual setup. We install both—standby systems need professional wiring and transfer switches.
